In a big jolt to BRS, reports indicate that two BRS MLCs are considering a shift to the Congress party, marking a potential upheaval in Warangal’s political dynamics. During CM Revanth’s recent visit to the region, BRS MLCs engaged in discussions with senior Congress leaders, suggesting a significant realignment. Basavaraju Saraiya and Banda Prakash, both MLCs elected during the BRS regime, have historical ties to the Congress.
Saraiya, who previously served as a minister under YS Rajasekhar Reddy, joined BRS in 2016 but is reportedly preparing to return to the Congress fold. This development follows a trend where prominent leaders from Warangal, including Kadiyam Srihari, Pasunuri Dayakar, and Gundu Sudharani, have already switched allegiance to the Congress, underscoring a notable shift in regional politics.
