BRS MLC Kavitha is reportedly planning a statewide padayatra (foot march) across Telangana. This move appears to be part of her strategy to address the arrest related to the Delhi liquor scam case and to highlight the alleged injustice she has faced.
After being released from Tihar Jail on Tuesday, following nearly five months of incarceration, Kavitha met her father, former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, at the Erravelli farmhouse on Thursday. Discussions among close circles suggest that this decision aligns with recommendations from KCR. Kavitha has expressed her anguish, asserting that her imprisonment was politically motivated rather than a result of any wrongdoing on her part. She plans to leverage the padayatra to challenge these allegations and restore her public image.
Additionally, it is believed that Kavitha’s padayatra is intended to rejuvenate the BRS party, which is perceived as having lost its prominence in the state. There are indications that KCR’s action plan includes this padayatra as an initial step, followed by more aggressive strategies to counter the Congress and BJP.
