BRS MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy was detained by the police after he visited Motilal Naik, leader of the OU Unemployed JAC, who is on an indefinite hunger strike at Gandhi Hospital to highlight the demands of unemployed individuals. The police took Palla Rajeshwar Reddy into custody and transported him to Bolaram station following the meeting.
Former minister Harish Rao criticized the arrest of Palla and others, expressing his dismay on a public platform. Rao condemned the authorities for failing to address the grievances of the unemployed and for obstructing those who sought to support them. He questioned why elected leaders, who had made promises during elections, were not empathizing with the struggles of the unemployed. Rao demanded the immediate release of those detained unlawfully and urged for urgent attention to the issues faced by the unemployed.
