BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy is reportedly on the verge of being arrested after receiving notices from the police. The notices pertain to a protest conducted on November 9, during which the BRS demanded the release of Dalit Bandhu funds. According to the police, Kaushik Reddy organized the protest on a highway without obtaining prior permission, causing significant inconvenience to the public. Speculation is rife that his arrest could happen at any moment.
Protest Against Delay in Dalit Bandhu Funds
Kaushik Reddy recently spearheaded a demonstration in Huzurabad, urging the Congress government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme. He criticized Revanth Reddy for allegedly betraying Dalits and accused him of shelving the welfare initiative introduced by KCR. Despite not receiving police approval, Kaushik Reddy led the protest on a public road, which resulted in traffic congestion. The police intervened and detained him, later placing him under arrest.

Health Scare During Detention
During the protest, Kaushik Reddy reportedly collapsed due to ill health. He was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment. BRS leaders expressed their outrage over the police’s handling of the situation. Kaushik Reddy later accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of orchestrating a conspiracy to harm him, claiming that the police actions were part of this plot. Taking the matter seriously, the police issued notices to Kaushik Reddy, citing his unauthorized protest and the disruption it caused to public life.
