Hyderabad: As campaigning intensifies for the Jubilee Hills by-election, BRS Working President and former minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) filed a complaint with the Telangana State Election Commission at BRS Bhavan. KTR raised serious allegations against the Congress party, claiming that its leaders were engaging in multiple schemes to manipulate the election.
Speaking to the media, KTR alleged that Congress leaders were attempting to lure and intimidate voters in the constituency. He accused the party of orchestrating a major plot to influence the by-election, asserting that while national leaders such as Rahul Gandhi raise concerns about vote theft elsewhere, Congress was allegedly committing electoral fraud in Jubilee Hills.
KTR claimed that approximately 20,000 fake votes had been recently created in the constituency. He cited examples, including 43 votes registered under a single household and multiple votes under names such as Kovvuri Karthik (three locations) and Deepak Sharma (two locations). KTR submitted detailed evidence of these alleged irregularities to the Election Commission.
He urged the Election Commission to investigate the creation of fake votes, take strict action against lower-level officials allegedly colluding with Congress, and remove the 20,000 fraudulent votes before the nomination process is completed. KTR called for a free and fair by-election in Jubilee Hills, emphasizing the importance of impartial oversight to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
