Renowned author and literary researcher Boggu Srinivas, famous for his book “Pawan Kalyan Hataavo… Politics Bachaavo,” died under suspicious circumstances in Khammam district, Telangana. Srinivas was traveling in a car that plunged into the Paleru Reservoir in Kusumanchi mandal on Saturday morning. His body was found in the rear seat of the partially submerged vehicle, while the driver reportedly fled the scene, raising questions about the incident.
Srinivas, a native of Alluru village in Kurnool district, was also a YouTuber and literary researcher. A graduate in organic chemistry, he authored several books. His 2014 publication on actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan created a sensation, selling over 800,000 copies. Due to threats from political supporters at the time, the Telangana government had provided him protection.
The incident was first noticed by local fishermen, who identified the submerged vehicle, registration AP 16 DP 2345. The car was later pulled to shore with the help of locals using a tractor. Srinivas was found dead in the back seat, while the driver reportedly exited the vehicle and fled toward Nayakangudem, intensifying suspicions about the circumstances of his death.
Family members allege that Srinivas’s death was not accidental but a murder. They claim that his body bore significant injuries and have filed a formal complaint with the police seeking justice. Questions remain over why the car entered the old road despite a new route to the reservoir, and the unknown identity of the driver is a key focus of the ongoing investigation. Police are actively searching for the driver and investigating the full circumstances of the incident.
