Andhra Pradesh Minister Vasamsetti Subhash has made sensational comments targeting former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), creating a stir across both states. Speaking at an event in Konaseema district, Subhash warned that if KCR attempts to enter Andhra Pradesh under the BRS banner, he would be firmly stopped. He accused KCR of committing severe injustices against BC communities, particularly the Settibalija community, during his tenure in Telangana.
Subhash alleged that KCR’s policies in Telangana marginalized BC communities, effectively destroying their future. He claimed this injustice contributed to BRS’s defeat in the last elections, stressing that political manipulation of community sentiments would no longer be tolerated. He further stated that merely dividing the states does not justify dividing communities or undermining their rights.
Recalling past experiences, Subhash said that when he had previously criticized KCR, he was warned about possible intelligence agency scrutiny in Hyderabad, but nothing happened when he appeared there. This, he said, reinforced his belief in standing firmly against policies that discriminate against BC communities.
The minister concluded by asserting that those promoting anti-BC policies would find no political space in Andhra Pradesh. His remarks underline growing tensions between leaders of the two states and highlight the sensitive nature of caste and community politics in the region.
