AP Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan visited the Anjaneyaswamy temple in Kondagattu, Jagitala district of Telangana on Saturday. He performed special puja following his party’s recent success in the elections, attracting a large number of supporters and fans to the temple. Pawan traveled by road from his residence in Hyderabad, to offer prayers at Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy, as part of his ongoing Varahi Diksha.
This visit marked Pawan’s first to the temple after assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He had earlier launched his election campaign by performing pujas for his campaign vehicle ‘Varahi’ on January 24, 2023, and subsequently won all 21 MLA seats he contested in the AP polls, leading to his appointment as Deputy CM. Pawan Kalyan first visited the shrine fifteen years ago during the launch of the Praja Rajyam Party, started by his brother and film star Chiranjeevi, and revisited it in 2018 during the launch of the Jana Sena Party.
In light of Pawan Kalyan’s visit, extensive security arrangements were made under the direction of Jagittala SP Ashok Kumar. Pawan is currently observing Varahi Ammavari Deeksha for 11 days, consuming only milk and fruits to celebrate his electoral victory. Throughout his journey, fans and supporters from both his party and the BJP extended a grand welcome along Rajiv Highway.
