Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday reiterated that the state provides the highest pension benefits in the country, surpassing Telangana and Kerala. During his visit to Gudencheruvu village in Jammalamadugu Mandal, he personally handed over widow pensions to beneficiaries and interacted with their families to understand their concerns.
As part of his outreach, Chandrababu traveled in an auto-rickshaw to the Prajavedika event venue, discussing issues faced by auto drivers. He directed officials to address their grievances promptly, emphasizing his government’s commitment to improving livelihoods.
In his public address, the Chief Minister criticized former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP leaders for spreading false allegations linking him to the Vivekananda Reddy murder case and for derogatory remarks against women MLAs. He accused the party leadership of provoking cadre instead of enforcing discipline and warned that public deception and inconvenience would invite strict action, citing the use of drones for monitoring activities.

Chandrababu announced that the Kadapa Steel Plant project has commenced, with clear instructions to complete the first phase by December 2028. He said the project would significantly boost development in Jammalamadugu.
Highlighting welfare measures, he reaffirmed the “Talli Ki Vandhanam” scheme, ensuring support is provided to all eligible beneficiaries regardless of family size. He unveiled plans to transform Gandikota into a major tourist destination with an investment of ₹85 crore and a statue of Sri Krishnadevaraya.
Recalling previous development initiatives, Chandrababu noted that while former CM NTR launched the Gandikota project, he completed it along with Handri-Neeva canal lining works and tank restoration projects. He expressed confidence that the Telugu Desam Party would secure all ten seats in the combined district in the next elections, improving on its 2024 victory of seven seats.
