Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the state government will launch the much-anticipated ‘Talliki Vandhanam’ scheme within the month of May. The initiative, aimed at supporting students’ education, promises financial assistance of Rs 15,000 per student.

Addressing party MPs, MLAs, and leaders through a teleconference, the Chief Minister emphasized that this scheme marks the fulfillment of a key poll promise made by the coalition government. The scheme replaces the previous ‘Amma Vodi’ program implemented under the YSRCP regime.

Naidu stated that the scheme was initially planned for launch last year but was deferred due to unavoidable reasons. Now, it will be implemented before the reopening of schools to ensure timely benefit delivery to students and their families.

The Chief Minister also confirmed that the ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ scheme will be rolled out this month, reinforcing the government’s commitment to welfare and farmer support.

The announcements were made during preparations for the TDP’s annual Mahanadu, scheduled to be held in Kadapa on May 27, 28, and 29. Naidu also briefed party members on the status of Amaravati’s capital development, welfare programs, and broader governance priorities.
