The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned transfers for government employees across 12 departments. The transfer process is scheduled to take place from September 19 to 31. For the Excise Department, transfers are permitted from September 5 to 15.
Approval has been granted for transfers in various departments, including Revenue, Panchayati Raj, Municipal, Village, Ward Secretariats, Mines, Civil Supplies, and engineering roles across all government departments. Transfers have also been authorized for the Endowments, Forests, Transport, Industries, Electricity, Commercial Taxes, and Stamps and Registrations departments.
However, transfers for teachers and health staff have not been approved. Employees who have served in tribal areas for two years or those with medical conditions are eligible to apply for transfers.
Additionally, the new policy allows for transfers within the same town or nearby areas if both spouses are government employees. Office bearers of employee unions are exempt from the nine-year transfer rule. The administration has noted that transfers for office bearers may be processed before the nine-year term if deemed necessary.
