Telangana police have escalated their investigation into celebrities involved in the promotion of betting apps. Recently, Panjagutta police issued notices to 11 individuals, including anchor Vishnu Priya. In response, Vishnu Priya appeared for questioning today at the Panjagutta Police Station, accompanied by her legal counsel. She arrived with her face covered by a scarf, reportedly to avoid recognition. Authorities have seized her mobile phone and are examining her communications and financial transactions with betting app operators.
Financial Transactions Under Scrutiny
Sources indicate that Vishnu Priya has admitted to promoting betting apps, reportedly receiving Rs 90,000 per video. Investigators have identified her association with at least 15 betting platforms. The probe is now focusing on the mode of payments, with authorities examining whether black money or cash transactions were involved. Additionally, investigators are looking into potential hawala transactions. If financial irregularities are established, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) may intervene, further complicating the case.

Cases Registered Against Prominent Tollywood Celebrities
In a significant development, Miyapur police have registered cases against several prominent Tollywood celebrities, including Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Nidhhi Agerwal, Manchu Lakshmi, Ananya Nagalla, Pranitha, Sreemukhi, Siri Hanmanth, and Nayani Pavani. Along with Bollywood personalities, a total of 25 individuals have been named in the case, marking a major turn in the ongoing investigation.
