Singer Kalpana has lodged a complaint with the Telangana Women’s Commission, alleging false propaganda against her on social media. In her complaint, she requested action against the spread of misinformation and urged the commission to ensure that unverified posts are not circulated online.
Kalpana stated that certain YouTube channels falsely reported that she had attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills. She also accused some platforms of violating her privacy by uploading her private videos. Responding to her complaint, the Women’s Commission assured strict action against those responsible for spreading false information, with the Chairperson pledging stringent measures against the culprits.

It is known that Kalpana was admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state. With the assistance of the police, the Vertex Pre-Village Gated Community Association facilitated her hospitalization, where she received medical treatment. Upon recovery, Kalpana clarified that she had not attempted suicide but had taken an excessive dosage of sleeping pills due to stress-induced insomnia.
Following the circulation of misleading reports on social media and certain YouTube channels, Kalpana approached the Women’s Commission, seeking necessary action against those responsible for disseminating false information.
