Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has alleged that the Congress and BJP are conspiring against the BRS, which she described as a protective force for Telangana. She dismissed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent claims regarding three suspicious deaths in the state, calling them baseless.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, Kavitha stated that advocate Sanjeev Reddy had passed away due to a heart attack in court six months ago. She further cited the district SP’s confirmation that Rajalingamurthy’s murder in Bhupalpally was linked to a land dispute and pointed out that reports indicated another individual had died in his sleep in Dubai. Accusing the chief minister of spreading misinformation, she claimed that Revanth Reddy was acting under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP-Congress Alliance Allegation

Kavitha criticized Revanth Reddy for allegedly collaborating with the BJP and asserted that BJP leaders were protecting the Congress government. She accused both parties of an undisclosed political partnership in Telangana, stating that when BRS exposes the truth, BJP leaders retaliate against them.

She also referenced the chief minister’s remarks about filing cases against KCR and KTR following his meeting with the Prime Minister, dismissing them as politically motivated. She alleged that Revanth Reddy’s primary agenda was to target the Kalvakuntla family and the BRS.

Defending her family, Kavitha emphasized that the Kalvakuntlas adhere to established traditions and protocols. In contrast, she accused the chief minister’s family members of assuming unconstitutional roles. She questioned why Revanth Reddy’s brother, Tirupati Reddy, was being given an official role in government meetings and why district collectors were formally welcoming him.

Financial Misrepresentation Allegation

Kavitha also countered the chief minister’s statements on Telangana’s financial condition. She rejected his claim that the state was paying Rs 6,500 crore in monthly interest, citing CAG data that places the figure below Rs 2,600 crore. She further dismissed his assertion that Telangana generates Rs 18,000 crore in monthly revenue, stating that, according to CAG reports, this year’s revenue has not exceeded Rs 12,000 crore.

She attributed the revenue decline to what she termed the Congress-led “Hydra” approach, alleging that government estimates of Rs 18,000 crore through stamp duty and registrations had dropped to Rs 5,800 crore due to its impact.
