Meerut: A violent altercation involving Uttar Pradesh minister Somendra Tomar’s nephew has surfaced, with CCTV footage of the incident going viral on social media. The minister’s nephew allegedly assaulted street vendors and issued threats during the confrontation.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the minister’s nephew was driving through a congested street in Meerut. A rickshaw obstructed his vehicle, leading to a traffic standstill. As a flower-selling couple requested him to move forward to ease the congestion, an aide accompanying him insisted that the auto-rickshaw move first. The disagreement escalated into a heated exchange.

Witnesses state that the minister’s nephew, visibly agitated, exited his vehicle, verbally abused the flower vendors, and physically assaulted one of them. The situation intensified as the vendor’s relatives attempted to retaliate, prompting further chaos.

Local authorities responded to the scene and registered cases against both parties involved. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
