Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reached out to Rangarajan, the chief priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple, by phone to express his condolences after the recent attack on him. CM Reddy inquired about the details of the incident and issued directives to senior police officials to ensure stringent action against the attackers. He emphasized that such acts of violence would not be tolerated. Authorities have initiated an investigation and are expected to provide additional security to Rangarajan.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan condemned the attack, urging the Telangana government to take the matter seriously. He called for the identification and strict punishment of those responsible for orchestrating the attack. He described the assault as an attack on the preservation of Dharma, calling it a heinous act. Pawan Kalyan also instructed Telangana Jana Sena leaders to visit Rangarajan’s residence and offer their support. The leaders visited today, gathering information about the incident and expressing strong condemnation on behalf of their party.
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) also visited Rangarajan to offer his support. Speaking to the media, KTR condemned the attack as “a despicable and cruel act” and insisted that no one responsible, regardless of their affiliation, should be excused. KTR further remarked that the emotional distress faced by Rangarajan and his family due to the incident reflects the current state of law and order in Telangana.
