Amaravati: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP Vijayasai Reddy has announced his retirement from politics and submitted his resignation from the Rajya Sabha. The move has stirred significant political discussion across Andhra Pradesh.
Reacting to his decision, the YSRCP issued a statement on social media platform X, saying, “While we do not agree with your decision, we respect the path you have chosen. From the party’s inception, you have been a pillar of strength, standing with us through challenges and successes. We honor your decision to pursue your passion for horticulture. Your contributions to the party will always be cherished. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.”

Vijayasai Reddy clarified that his decision to leave politics is entirely personal, asserting that he has no plans to join any other political party. He expressed his gratitude to the YS family, stating, “For over four decades, across three generations, I have been indebted to the YS family for their trust and support. I thank Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the opportunity to serve as a Rajya Sabha MP twice, and I am forever grateful to Bharathamma for guiding me to this level. I wish Jagan all the best in his journey.”
Reflecting on his political career, Vijayasai highlighted his service as YSRCP’s Parliamentary Party leader, Rajya Sabha floor leader, and national general secretary. He emphasized his tireless efforts for the party’s and the state’s interests, along with his role as a bridge between the central and state governments.
