The ongoing feud within the Manchu family escalated into a major controversy as actor Mohan Babu assaulted journalist Ranjith. In the incident, Ranjith sustained critical injuries, with doctors confirming fractures in three areas of his jawbone. A fracture located between his eyes and ears required a three-hour-long surgical procedure at Yashoda Hospital.
In light of the incident, journalist associations and prominent political leaders have vocally condemned Mohan Babu’s actions. An attempted murder case has already been registered against Mohan Babu. Seeking legal intervention, he applied for anticipatory bail in the High Court, but his request was denied, prompting him to go into hiding. Following this, he released an audio clip claiming he had nowhere to flee.

Mohan Babu Issues Public Apology
Amid the controversy, Mohan Babu visited Ranjith at Yashoda Hospital to offer his support and extend his apologies to Ranjith and his family. During this encounter, Ranjith requested that Mohan Babu issue an apology to the broader journalist community, leading Mohan Babu to publicly express his remorse to fellow journalists.
Taking responsibility for the incident, Mohan Babu acknowledged his mistake and expressed empathy toward Ranjith’s suffering. He conveyed his commitment to Ranjith’s swift recovery while seeking forgiveness from Ranjith’s family. Manchu Vishnu also stood in solidarity with Mohan Babu during this moment, emphasizing the unity within the Manchu family amid the controversy.
