Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has strongly condemned the incident where a farmer was taken to a hospital in handcuffs, expressing his outrage over the unnecessary use of force during the Laggacherla incident. Addressing senior officials, he questioned the rationale behind transporting the farmer in handcuffs, stating that such actions should not be tolerated by a people’s government.
In the Laggacherla attack case, 45 farmers have been held in Sangareddy jail for the past 30 days. Amid this situation, Erya Nayak, a farmer, suffered a heart attack. Due to his critical condition, jail authorities transferred him to a hospital while handcuffing him. CM Revanth Reddy demanded a comprehensive investigation into this incident and instructed senior officials to submit a full report explaining the necessity of handcuffing the farmer.

KTR Demands Action and Investigation
Minister KTR strongly condemned the act of handcuffing farmers, calling it an inhumane act. He also demanded a suo-motu inquiry into the incident. KTR criticized the government for failing to provide timely medical support and accused authorities of trying to conceal the matter from Erya Nayak’s family and the public.
Calls for State-Level Investigation
Highlighting other ongoing health issues, Raghavendra and Basappa are also facing severe health challenges. Additionally, Patnam Narender Reddy is experiencing multiple health problems. The state High Court Chief Justice has been urged to take this matter suo-motu, while a plea has been made for the state governor to order a thorough investigation into the incident.
