A female Aghori recently gained attention in Telangana after visiting several temples and performing rituals unclothed. Her appearance at the Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy temple, where she conducted rituals in the nude, followed by similar actions at the Muthyalamma temple in Kummari Guda, Secunderabad, caused alarm among devotees. Clad in ash with skulls around her neck, she shocked temple visitors, sparking widespread curiosity.
Her unique presence quickly spread through social media and news outlets, with videos and interviews catapulting her to notoriety. In her statements, she explained her transformation from a Naga Sadhu to an Aghori, recounting the challenges that led her down this path and her reasons for coming to Hyderabad.
RTV also interviewed her parents, uncovering additional background on her journey. While her story garnered significant attention, it also attracted criticism, with negative videos surfacing on platforms like YouTube. Responding to this, the Aghori released a video from Kedarnath, announcing plans to return to Hyderabad on October 29.
Today, as expected, she issued a dramatic statement to RTV, declaring her intention to self-immolate near the Muthyalamma temple on Friday, November 1, at 9 a.m., as a protest in support of Sanatan Dharma. She questioned why the perpetrators of an alleged attack on the Muthyalamma temple had not been brought to justice and demanded they be handed over to her. The Aghori vowed to prove the falsity of accusations against her. She added that if she survives, she will continue her mission to promote Sanatan Dharma; if not, she would be “reunited with Shiva.” She also stated plans to visit Kondagattu and Vemulawada tomorrow, followed by Komuravelli and Yedupayala temple on Thursday.
