Nampally: In a significant legal development, actor Nagarjuna, along with his family members, including Amala, Naga Chaitanya, Supriya, and Venkateshwarlu, appeared in the Nampally Court today as part of the ongoing proceedings related to the defamation suit against Minister Konda Surekha. The court has reportedly recorded Nagarjuna’s statement concerning the remarks made by Konda Surekha regarding the divorce of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, which have generated considerable controversy in both film and political circles.
Addressing the court, Nagarjuna expressed, “Our family has a good reputation in the film industry, and there is public support for us across the country. We have received numerous national awards and are involved in social service programs alongside our cinematic endeavors. The former minister KTR has been wrongfully blamed for our son’s divorce, and the minister’s comments were inappropriate.” He emphasized that Konda Surekha’s statements have tarnished their family’s honor and reputation, describing her remarks as false allegations made with political malice. Nagarjuna called for criminal action to be taken against Konda Surekha, asserting that her comments have caused significant distress to a family known for its prestige.
