Hyderabad: A team from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) visited the demolition areas in Hyderabad on Sunday, where they assessed the impact on local residents. Former ministers Harish Rao, Sabitha Indra Reddy, and Talasani Srinivas Yadav inspected houses in Bandlaguda Jagir, Haidarsahkot, and Gandhiguda. They participated in protests organized by residents affected by the recent demolitions in the Musi area.
During the visit, Harish Rao made several significant remarks, assuring the residents that the BRS would stand by them and that the government would not interfere with their homes. “Be courageous. Don’t lose confidence. We will support you so that Revanth’s government does not touch your houses. Even if bulldozers or JCBs come, they must go through you first,” he stated.
Harish Rao emphasized that the Congress party was responsible for granting permissions, citing that three lives had already been lost due to the incident. He urged the residents not to lose hope or take drastic actions and promised that the BRS would protect their homes.
“Revanth Reddy, why should the poor suffer for your mistakes? Indiramma’s rule was about providing shelter, food, and shade for the poor. However, under your rule, attempts are being made to demolish their lives. A bulldozer regime is operating in Telangana,” he added.
Harish Rao further criticized Revanth Reddy’s governance, stating that the rights of the poor are being overlooked while favoring the affluent. He encouraged victims to approach the Telangana Bhavan for assistance, assuring them that support would be available 24/7.
“If the victims face difficulties, come to Telangana Bhavan. The doors will be open 24 hours. If it’s urgent, call us. We will be there in fifteen minutes,” Harish Rao concluded.
