Minister Seethakka announced plans to spend Rs 1 lakh crore on women’s development over the next five years, emphasizing that a family’s growth is closely linked to women being financially strong and capable. She made these remarks while inaugurating the Saras Fair at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Seethakka said, “We have identified 17 types of businesses and are providing interest-free loans to women. We have entrusted the task of stitching school uniforms to women’s groups. Our goal is to make one crore women millionaires in the state.”
The Saras Fair will continue until October 7, showcasing products made in rural areas. Nearly 500 women from various states across the country are participating in the event.
