Khammam: On Monday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visited the flood-affected areas in Khammam and outlined several immediate relief measures for impacted families. The Chief Minister announced that Rs. 10,000 would be provided to each affected household as immediate assistance. He also promised Rs. 50,000 for the loss of cattle and Rs. 5,000 for sheep and goats. Aid will be offered under the PM Awas Yojana for damage to homes, and lost documents will be replaced.

Revanth Reddy assured that farmers suffering losses due to the floods would receive Rs. 10,000 per acre in compensation. He also announced the establishment of disaster response teams in eight regions across the state to handle emergencies. Emphasizing the need for solidarity during crises, he urged opposition parties to contribute to relief efforts rather than engaging in political disputes.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed strong criticism of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). He accused KCR of remaining silent while residing in his farm house and criticized KTR for focusing on social media rather than addressing the flood situation. Revanth Reddy suggested that if KCR and KTR were unwilling to contribute to relief efforts, they should refrain from public criticism of those who are actively working to assist.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted the disparity between the aid provided by former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, who contributed Rs. 34 crore, and the perceived inaction of KCR and KTR. He announced that families of those who lost their lives in the floods would receive compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs.
