The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET-2026) results were officially released on Monday afternoon, July 13, by School Education Department Director Naveen Nicholas. Officials announced an overall pass percentage of 43.94 for this year’s examination, which was conducted online across 10 sessions from June 16 to 22. A total of 1,53,752 candidates had applied for the test statewide, of whom 1,15,028 (74.81%) appeared for the exam, and 50,544 candidates ultimately qualified.
Category-wise results showed ST candidates leading with a 51.03% pass rate, followed by BC candidates at 40.36%, EWS candidates at 22.43%, and General category candidates at 20.15%.
Women candidates outperformed men across all sections in the results. In Paper-II (Maths & Science), 32,555 women appeared for the exam with 12,495 qualifying, compared to 11,567 men appearing and 5,488 qualifying. In Paper-II (Social Studies), 23,008 women appeared and 5,009 qualified. Among transgender candidates, two of the four who wrote Paper-I qualified, while four of the six who wrote Paper-II (Maths) qualified.
Among those who appeared for the exam, 23,623 were in-service teachers currently performing their duties, but their pass percentage stood at just 37.29%. In light of this, the government plans to offer in-service teachers another opportunity through a special TET. The Education Department announced that a special notification for this exam will be released on July 21, with the special TET to be conducted from September 7 to 11.
Officials clarified that candidates who took the exam can check their marks, qualifying status, and download their rank card using their hall ticket number on the official website, https://tgtet.aptonline.in.
