His remarks are expected to further heighten tensions amid the ongoing war.

Addressing an event in the West Bank, Netanyahu said Israeli forces currently control nearly 60 percent of Gaza and are now aiming to extend that control significantly. He asserted that Israel is tightening its grip on Hamas and continuing military operations with the objective of dismantling the militant group’s infrastructure and capabilities.
Israel has repeatedly maintained that its military campaign is focused on eliminating Hamas following months of conflict and security threats. The latest statement comes at a time when the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critical, with international concern growing over the escalation of violence and the impact on civilians across the region.
