A highly intriguing development is currently drawing attention in Tamil Nadu politics, as the newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) makes significant strides in the ongoing election results. Amid this momentum, speculation has intensified over the possible inclusion of actress Trisha Krishnan in the prospective cabinet of actor-turned-politician Vijay, turning it into a widely discussed topic.
Vijay, who contested from two constituencies, is currently leading with a substantial margin in both, making his victory almost certain. As per electoral norms, a candidate elected from two seats must vacate one. Reports suggest that he is likely to resign from the Tiruchirappalli East seat, paving the way for a by-election in the constituency.
According to political circles, Vijay is considering fielding Trisha Krishnan as the party’s candidate in the anticipated by-election. Since the inception of TVK, she has been seen extending consistent support to Vijay, further strengthening speculation about her formal entry into active politics.
In addition, there are discussions that Vijay may induct her into the cabinet and assign her the cinematography portfolio. If such developments materialize, Trisha could emerge as a prominent woman leader in the state, drawing comparisons with former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. Her recent visit to the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and subsequent meeting with Vijay on the day of the results have further added weight to these speculations.
