Tensions in West Asia continue to rise as the United States and Israel conduct attacks on Iran, while Iran targets U.S. military installations in Gulf countries. The ongoing conflict has raised safety concerns for Indian citizens in the region. In response, the Indian government has actively facilitated evacuations. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), over 52,000 Indians were brought back to the country during the first week of March, with approximately 32,000 traveling on Indian flights. Additional flights are scheduled in the coming days to ensure the safe return of more citizens.

The MEA stated that it is closely monitoring developments in West Asia and has restored air connectivity from multiple Gulf regions. Indian nationals in countries without flight services have been advised to contact their nearest Indian Embassy, Consulate, or diplomatic office for assistance. The government emphasized that the safety and security of Indians abroad remain a top priority and that it is coordinating with local authorities to provide support where needed.
