In a major political upset in Jogulamba Gadwal district, the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), backed by Telangana Jagruti chief Kavitha, emerged victorious in the Vaddepalli Municipality elections, surprising the state’s dominant parties. The AIFB candidates outperformed Congress, BRS, and BJP, creating a political stir in the region.
Out of the 10 wards in Vaddepalli, AIFB candidates won eight, while Congress and BRS secured one ward each. This clean sweep gave the Forward Bloc complete control of the municipality, marking a significant foothold for the party in Telangana local politics.
While the rest of the state witnessed a closely fought battle primarily between Congress and BRS, Vaddepalli voters overwhelmingly favored Telangana Jagruti-backed AIFB candidates. The victory triggered celebrations in the town, with party supporters organizing rallies and hoisting Forward Bloc flags across the municipality.
