Patna: Tensions have escalated within former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family following the RJD’s disastrous performance in the recent Bihar Assembly elections. Rohini Acharya, daughter of Lalu Prasad and sister of party leader Tejaswi Yadav, made serious allegations against her brother and his close aides, accusing them of sidelining and humiliating her.
Speaking to the media shortly after announcing her exit from politics, Rohini said, “I have no family. Sanjay Yadav, Rameez, and Tejashwi Yadav are the ones who pushed me out of the family.” She alleged that she faced abusive language, threats of physical assault, and public humiliation for questioning the party’s defeat and the role of Tejashwi’s aides in the debacle.

The RJD, contesting over 140 seats, managed to win only 25, triggering intense criticism and internal disputes over leadership and decision-making. Sources say similar internal tensions had earlier led to the sidelining of Rohini’s brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, from both the family and party.
