Hyderabad: The Telangana government has appointed Bodhan MLA Sudarshan Reddy as Advisor to the State Government. The Revanth Reddy administration issued orders to this effect, entrusting him with the responsibility of overseeing the implementation of the six guarantees. Sudarshan Reddy had earlier been a contender for a cabinet position.

Meanwhile, Mancherial MLA Prem Sagar Rao has been appointed as Chairman of the Civil Supplies Corporation. Both legislators were reportedly in the race for ministerial posts; however, the government has assigned them alternative key responsibilities. Despite this, both will be accorded cabinet rank status.

In a separate development, Congress leader Mohammad Azharuddin was sworn in as a minister in the Telangana cabinet at Raj Bhavan on Thursday. Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and several cabinet members. Two ministerial posts remain vacant, with speculation suggesting they may be allocated to leaders from the OC and BC communities.
