Hyderabad: Tension erupted in Medipally on Sunday morning following an alleged attack on the office of MLC Teenmaar Mallanna. A group of unidentified individuals stormed into the premises and vandalised furniture and computers, creating panic in the area.
Staff members from Q News, which operates from the same location, attempted to intervene, leading to a heated confrontation. The situation escalated further when the assailants reportedly assaulted the Q News staff. In response, Mallanna’s personal security gunman fired five rounds into the air to disperse the attackers.
Preliminary information suggests that members of the Telangana Jagruthi organisation may have been involved in the attack, allegedly protesting against remarks made by Mallanna targeting MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
Police personnel rushed to the spot and began an investigation. Authorities are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to identify those involved. Further details are awaited.
