Kozhikode: A significant explosion occurred aboard a Singapore-flagged container ship approximately 130 nautical miles off the Kozhikode coast in Kerala. The vessel, which departed Colombo on June 7 and was scheduled to reach Mumbai on June 10, experienced the blast during its voyage.
In response, the Indian Coast Guard promptly dispatched three patrol vessels—ICGS Rajdoot from Mangalore, ICGS Arnvesh from Kochi, and ICGS Sachet from Agatti—to the incident site to conduct rescue and relief operations.
Authorities are currently engaged in assessing the extent of damage and potential casualties. Further updates are awaited as the rescue efforts continue.
