Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar on Thursday refuted media reports claiming that party leader K. Kavitha had written a six-page letter to BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) expressing dissatisfaction over the party’s performance, particularly following the recent Warangal public meeting.
Addressing the issue in an interview with RTV, Sravan dismissed the reports as baseless and politically motivated. “Kavitha did not write any such letter. These rumours are part of a smear campaign initiated by the Congress party to destabilize the BRS,” he said.
He further alleged that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was behind the fabrication of the letter, asserting that it was created with the sole aim of creating confusion and internal discord within the BRS. “If Kavitha had written such a letter, she herself would have released it publicly,” Sravan stated.
Highlighting a pattern of misinformation, Sravan accused the Congress of orchestrating false narratives about alleged differences between key BRS leaders. “First they claimed a rift between K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao, then between KCR and Harish Rao. Now they are targeting Kavitha,” he said.
Sravan also criticised the Congress for diverting public attention from its unfulfilled promises by engaging in what he described as ‘Goebbels-style propaganda’. He reiterated that the BRS remains united and accused the Congress of using misinformation as a political weapon.
