Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched the prestigious Bhubharati Portal, a key initiative by the state government, to address land-related issues for farmers. The event took place at Shilpakala Vedika, where the CM delivered an address.
During his speech, CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the historical context of land reforms, stating, “The Land Ceiling Act was introduced to acquire surplus land from landowners, which was then distributed to the poor under Indira Gandhi’s leadership. The Congress government thoroughly studied and implemented land laws, but previous rulers abolished the existing law and introduced the Dharani portal, leading to numerous problems due to its hasty implementation.”

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, the Chief Minister dedicated the Bhubharati Act to 69 lakh farming families, emphasizing that the new initiative would offer a permanent solution to farmers’ land issues. He also spoke about the challenges faced by revenue staff under previous administrations, stating, “Revenue staff were depicted as exploiters, and officials working to solve farmers’ problems were removed.”
The CM reiterated his opposition to the negative portrayal of revenue department officials, assuring the public that the current government fully trusts the department’s staff. He added, “When the government and officials work together, success is achieved. Just like how every citizen has an Aadhaar card, we will introduce a landholder ID for every piece of land and ensure precise boundary registration for each one.”
Through the Bhubharati Portal, the Telangana government aims to streamline land management and address the longstanding issues faced by farmers in the state.
