Pakistan’s vulnerability to seismic activity is well known, as the country lies on the boundary of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates. This geological positioning frequently results in tremors of varying intensity. Experts note that deep-focus earthquakes like this one generally cause less damage despite their magnitude. Authorities are continuing to assess the situation, and disaster management teams are on standby as further information is awaited.
