Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has lodged a formal complaint with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, accusing the state government of enforcing “anarchic and barbaric rule.” Meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Sunday, YS Jagan expressed grave concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation, citing widespread incidents of violence and property destruction.

YS Jagan’s memorandum outlines a series of alarming issues since the TDP alliance came to power. He reported that 36 people have been killed and 300 injured, while 35 individuals have committed suicide due to alleged harassment by the TDP. Over 2,700 families have reportedly been displaced due to the destruction of private property at 560 locations, government property at 490 locations, and more than 1,050 incidents of violence.

YS Jagan described the current state of Andhra Pradesh as one of constitutional collapse, with a dysfunctional mechanism failing to protect citizens. He accused ruling party leaders and their supporters of creating an atmosphere of fear, targeting those who did not vote for them, particularly YSR Congress party members and sympathizers. He claimed that this targeting includes assaults, property destruction, and attacks on businesses and roadside vendors.

The former CM highlighted several specific incidents, including the brutal murder of party worker Rasheed in Vinukonda on July 17, which has reportedly shocked the public. YS Jagan also recounted an attack on MP Mithun Reddy in Chittoor district and criticized the police for their alleged complicity with the ruling party.

YS Jagan condemned the politicization of the government machinery, alleging that it is being used to perpetuate violence and disorder. He urged the central government to investigate these incidents and restore normalcy. Along with his memorandum, YS Jagan provided photos and video evidence to support his claims.
