A YouTuber’s misleading video caused widespread confusion and damage at Balyogi Stadium in Amalapuram, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. The incident occurred after Mandapati Aditya, a content creator, falsely claimed in a viral video that gold, silver, and ear pods were buried within the stadium premises, inviting people to participate in a so-called “Gold Hunt.”
The video, which gained rapid traction on social media, led nearly 100 individuals to rush to the stadium in search of the alleged treasure. Believing the claim to be true, they began digging the ground, causing damage to the property.

Authorities were alerted as the situation escalated. When stadium officials attempted to intervene, a confrontation ensued between them and the participants. Officials subsequently notified the district collector and the police, who arrived at the scene and dispersed the crowd.
Following an inquiry, police registered a case against Aditya at the Rural Police Station for misleading the public and causing damage to government property. The sports department has urged strict action against the YouTuber for the disruption and destruction caused.
