Hyderabad: The Yadagiri Gutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is set to host the Maha Kumbhabhishekam Samprokshana for its golden Vimana Gopuram on February 23. The temple authorities have invited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and BRS chief, former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao, to participate in the event.
On Friday, a delegation comprising the temple’s chief priest and executive officers visited KCR’s Erravelli residence to formally extend the invitation. The priests also requested his presence at the annual Brahmotsavam, scheduled to take place from March 1 to 11.
The temple underwent significant redevelopment during KCR’s tenure, including the reconstruction and beautification of the premises. The gold plating of the Vimana Gopuram, initiated under his leadership, has now been completed.

Golden Vimana Gopuram Specifications
The Vimana Gopuram stands at a height of 50.5 feet and spans 10,759 square feet. A total of 68 kg of gold was used for the gold plating, which commenced on December 1, 2024, and concluded on February 18, 2025. The installation cost ₹5.10 crore, while Rs 12 lakh was spent on copper sheets. The overall project is estimated to have cost approximately Rs 70 crore. It is noted as the tallest golden Vimana Gopuram in the country.
CM Revanth Reddy Invited to the Ceremony
On Thursday, temple officials, along with Minister for Endowments Konda Surekha, Government Whip Beerla Ilayya, Endowments Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyar, and the temple’s Executive Officer, formally invited CM Revanth Reddy to the event. The Maha Kumbhabhishekam will be conducted under the supervision of Vanamamalai Math’s 31st Pontiff, Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy.
