A woman sustained serious injuries today near Musalimadugu, Palamaneru, during Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s visit to Chittoor district. The incident occurred when the convoy inadvertently ran over her leg amid the large crowd gathered to see the leader. Locals immediately assisted the woman and shifted her to a nearby hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
Pawan Kalyan was visiting the Kumki Elephant Camp near Palamaneru. Large numbers of fans and locals had gathered along the roadside, resulting in commotion. During this, the woman fell near the convoy and was accidentally injured. Authorities noted that the accident happened due to crowd pressure and the movement of vehicles amid tight security arrangements.
Opposition leaders have called for a thorough investigation into the incident, urging authorities to review crowd management and safety measures during political events.
