Bengaluru: An incident involving a couple engaging in obscene behaviour at a Bengaluru Metro station has triggered widespread criticism after a video of the act went viral on social media.
The footage, shared by the X handle ‘Karnataka Portfolio’, shows a young man standing behind a woman and placing his hands under her t-shirt, allegedly touching her private parts while they waited on the metro platform. The act, which reportedly lasted for about 30 seconds, took place in full public view, drawing sharp condemnation from netizens.
The video was captioned with a comment stating that “Bengaluru Metro is now adapting to Delhi Metro culture,” implying a perceived rise in public indecency on metro premises.
Social media users expressed strong disapproval of the couple’s conduct, calling it “shameful” and “distasteful,” and demanded immediate action from metro authorities. Several users also raised concerns about the erosion of public decency and criticised the lack of accountability in public spaces.
