Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a temporary hike in ticket prices for Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film Kingdom, which is set for a theatrical release on July 31. In response to a request from the film’s producers, the government permitted an increase of Rs 50 (including GST) in single-screen theatres and ₹75 in multiplexes. This revised pricing will be applicable for ten days from the release date.
Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the Sitara Entertainments banner, Kingdom is a high-octane action thriller featuring Vijay as an upright police officer falsely implicated in a case. The narrative explores the twists in his life following his imprisonment. Bhagyashree plays the female lead, while Satyadev portrays Vijay’s on-screen brother. The emotional song “Anna Ante” has already received a strong response online. With music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film is seen as a crucial project for Vijay after a series of underwhelming performances at the box office.
