Amaravati: A political row has erupted in Andhra Pradesh as Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and YSRCP leader and former minister R.K. Roja exchanged sharp remarks ahead of the release of Kalyan’s film Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The war of words escalated after Roja, while addressing YSRCP workers recently, alleged that Pawan Kalyan was mentally unstable and mocked him for claiming to be born in multiple places. She further questioned whether the actor-turned-politician even knew where he was born or what his educational qualifications were.

In a veiled counterattack during a pre-release event in Visakhapatnam, Pawan Kalyan responded, “My name is Pawan… I keep moving… we are like winds, not frogs in a well.” The comment was interpreted as a direct dig at Roja and other YSRCP leaders.

Following this, Roja took to social media and tweeted, “Apana Vayu spreads everywhere, but what use is it?” – a comment widely seen as an indirect swipe at Pawan. However, her choice of words sparked strong criticism from Janasena supporters, who accused her of degrading political discourse. They condemned the comparison of their leader to ‘Apana Vayu’, a term referring to flatulence, and demanded respectful language in political debates.

Notably, Roja disabled the comments section on her post, potentially to avoid further backlash. The exchange has intensified political tensions as Pawan Kalyan resumes active political engagement alongside his film commitments.
