The U.S. presidential elections scheduled for November have seen a significant shift in dynamics. This change follows the withdrawal of President Joe Biden and the entry of Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party into the race. Kamala Harris, of Indian origin, has intensified the competition, prompting former President Donald Trump to agree to a debate with her.
Trump announced his readiness for a face-to-face debate with Harris through his Truth Social media account. The debate is set to occur in September, with Fox News organizing the event on September 4. This debate will replace an initially scheduled debate between Trump and Biden, which has been canceled due to Biden’s withdrawal from the race.
The Fox News debate will be held in Pennsylvania and will adhere to all standard debate rules. Kamala Harris has not yet responded to the debate invitation. If the debate proceeds, it will mark the second face-to-face debate between presidential candidates this election cycle, following the first debate between Trump and Biden in June.
