Union Home Minister Amit Shah has forecasted that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) will be relegated to the opposition bench in 2029, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi returning to office.
In a statement delivered during the inauguration of a drinking water project in Chandigarh, Shah remarked, “The Indian alliance should be prepared to assume the opposition role in 2029, as Modi will once again take the position of Prime Minister.” He highlighted the BJP’s recent electoral successes, asserting that the party has outperformed Congress in the last three elections.
Amit Shah expressed confidence that the BJP will complete its current term and secure victory in the upcoming elections. He also emphasized the need for opposition parties to learn how to fulfill their role responsibly.
