Kyiv: Ukraine carried out a major drone strike on Saturday night targeting Russia’s Kursk nuclear facility. The drones hit nuclear terminals, temporarily halting production at the site. The facility is located just 60 kilometers from the Ukraine-Russia border, highlighting the proximity of the conflict to critical infrastructure.
The attack underscores the ongoing hostilities between Russia and Ukraine, despite US efforts to broker a ceasefire. US President Donald Trump previously met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska and later held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss key issues, but no resolution to the war has been reached.
Meanwhile, reports from international media indicate that Trump has approved the supply of more than 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) missiles to Ukraine, aimed at enhancing the country’s air force capabilities as it continues to bolster its military preparedness amid the intensifying conflict.
