Ukraine has escalated its drone offensive against Russia, launching large-scale strikes on strategic military and oil installations. The attacks targeted key infrastructure, including the Ryazan oil refinery, Annaneftproduct oil storage facility, a military airbase in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the Electropribor electronics plant in Penza. Ukrainian forces stated that these operations, supported by Western-supplied weaponry, have caused significant economic and military setbacks for Russia. Massive fires broke out at the Ryazan facility, which supplies fuel for Russian military needs.

According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, three civilians were killed in the attacks—a man in Samara due to falling drone debris, a woman at the Penza electronics facility, and a security guard at an industrial site in Rostov. Russian forces claimed to have intercepted 112 Ukrainian drones, but several penetrated defenses, inflicting heavy damage. Analysts suggest that Ukraine’s growing reliance on drone warfare marks a strategic shift aimed at weakening Russia’s military logistics and energy capabilities. Despite Russian countermeasures, such attacks are expected to continue, potentially altering the course of the conflict.
