The world’s attention is now focused on the U.S. elections, with final polling taking place nationwide today for the presidential election. The process began several days ago, and as of yesterday, a voter turnout of 7.5% was recorded through both mail-in and in-person voting. There are a total of 244 million registered voters in America, with many exercising their right to vote today.

Polling commenced at 6 a.m. in several states, including Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. Ohio, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Vermont started polling at 6:30 a.m., while Alabama, Delaware, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Arkansas began at 7 a.m. Voting in Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin will start shortly at 8 a.m. U.S. time.

The first results have already been reported. In New Hampshire, polling began at midnight, with Dixville Notch starting the process earlier than anywhere else in the country. With only six voters registered, the counting was completed immediately after the voting, and the results were released. Of the six votes cast, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received three, while Republican candidate Donald Trump also received three votes. In the last election, the Democratic candidate emerged victorious in this location.
