Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board has taken several significant decisions in its latest meeting. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, along with Executive Officer (EO) Shyamala Rao, announced the resolutions, which include providing Supatham Darshan for permanent employees every three months and shutting down unlicensed shops in Tirumala.
One of the major decisions taken was the removal of non-Hindu employees from TTD services. Additionally, the board approved an annual budget of Rs 5,258.68 crore for the upcoming financial year. To enhance facilities for devotees, Rs 772 crore has been allocated for the modernization of guesthouses.
The board has also decided to construct Sri Venkateswara temples in various state capitals and expand temple projects internationally. VIP break darshan timings are set to be revised, and a special committee will be formed to prevent the encroachment of temple properties.
In a key move, 20 acres of land allocated to Science City will be reclaimed by the TTD. Authorities will also take strict action against unauthorized brokers operating in Tirumala. The board has dissolved the Agama Advisory Council and allocated ₹26 crore for the renovation of 1,500 guest rooms.
Other notable resolutions include the cancellation of Mumtaz Hotel permits, the allocation of offline darshan tickets for senior citizens and differently-abled devotees, and the reintroduction of the previous offline ticketing system on a trial basis.
