US President Donald Trump has arrived in China for his first visit to the country since returning to power for a second term. As part of his two-day tour, Trump reached Beijing, where he received a grand welcome from Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to reports, the issue of Taiwan dominated the very first round of talks between the two leaders, leading to intense discussions behind closed doors.
Chinese media reports said Xi Jinping reacted strongly to the United States’ stance on Taiwan and cautioned Washington against interfering in the matter.
